Throughout these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Lough Ree Boating & Walking Tours.

By booking a tour or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2.1 Online Booking

A booking is confirmed only when you receive a booking confirmation email. At that point, a contract is formed between you and Lough Ree Boating & Walking Tours.

2.2 Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.
Payments are processed securely through our booking system provider, Rezgo. We do not store your full card details.

2.3 Pricing

All prices are listed in euro (€) and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to update pricing at any time prior to booking.

Under EU law, leisure services booked for a specific date are exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period. This means you do not have an automatic right to cancel once your booking is confirmed.

However, we offer the following policy:

• More than 48 hours before the tour: full refund
  
• Within 48 hours: non-refundable
  
• No-shows: non-refundable
  

Date changes may be possible subject to availability but are not guaranteed.

We may cancel or amend a tour if:

• weather or water conditions make it unsafe
  
• minimum numbers are not met
  
• a guide becomes unavailable
  
• operational or safety reasons make the tour unviable
  
• any other event beyond our reasonable control occurs
  

If we cancel a tour, you may choose:

• a full refund, or
  
• a new date (subject to availability)
  

This is the full extent of our liability.

You must follow the instructions of our guides at all times.

We may refuse participation if a customer:

• appears intoxicated
  
• behaves in a disruptive or unsafe manner
  
• is not physically capable of safely completing the tour
  

No refund will be issued in these scenarios.

Life jackets must be worn when instructed. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

By booking, you confirm that you and your group members:

• are physically able to take part in a boating and/or walking tour
  
• have no medical conditions that would make participation unsafe
  
• will inform the guide of any relevant medical concerns before the tour
  

We are unable to modify tours to suit specific medical needs.

Lough Ree weather can change quickly. Tours may proceed in rain or wind if conditions are still safe.Refunds are not provided for tours that proceed as scheduled but take place in wet or windy weather.

8.1 Your Responsibility

You participate at your own risk. You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times.

8.2 Our Responsibility

We hold public liability insurance through [Insert Insurer], covering our operations in line with Irish tourism standards.
This insurance does not cover your personal travel, medical costs, or lost property.

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, we are not liable for:

• injuries resulting from failure to follow guide instructions
  
• accidents caused by your own negligence
  
• loss or damage to personal belongings
  
• circumstances beyond our control (weather, natural conditions, third-party issues)
  

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot be legally excluded.

We expect respectful behaviour from all participants. We may remove a participant from a tour if their behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others. No refund will be issued in these cases.

We aim to accommodate a wide range of visitors but not all tours may be suitable for all mobility levels. If you have accessibility needs, please contact us before booking.

12.1 Intellectual Property

All website content (text, images, graphics, branding) belongs to Lough Ree Boating & Walking Tours. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute it without written permission.

12.2 Website Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure all information is accurate. Occasional errors or updates may occur, and we reserve the right to correct or update content at any time.

We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and aim to resolve issues promptly.
