Peaceful Cruising on Lough Ree
We offer diverse, flexible tours from Lanesborough. There are two different boat tour configurations for north/south travel. Shorter tours are taken on the electric boat and this option is available for a longer season. The cruiser boat ‘Antares 600 HB’ is available during summer months. It is a two-berth cabin cruiser with 80HP engine which is used for longer journeys on Lough Ree and this option is available only from May-September.
Electric Boat Tours
Our unique Electric boat tours depart from Lanesborough. Choose the adventure that suits you: journey north on the unique “Boat and Bog Tour” to explore hidden landscapes and heritage, or sail south for an exploration of the lough’s serene beauty. For short trips and less favourable weather, most tours are taken aboard the quiet, electric-powered ‘Electric Picnic’.

For longer voyages across Lough Ree, tours are taken aboard the comfortable, spacious cruiser: the ‘Antares 600 HB’ two-berth cabin cruiser with 80HP engine. This boat offers more space and shelter from the elements. Travel north as north as far as Tarmonbarry or venture south to Barley Harbor. The cruiser boat is available to book from May-September.
